What Donald Trump promised a Pennsylvania mother-of-three in a grocery store as he handed her a $100 bill

Donald Trump paid $100 for a Pennsylvania mother’s groceries on Monday.

During a political chat at a local grocery store chain in western Pennsylvania, the former president took money from his wallet to help a woman pay for her three sons.

“Here,” Trump said, grabbing a Benjamin and handing it to a customer paying for his checkout.

“It’s down a little bit,” he said of her grocery bill that day. “It went down $100.”

“We’ll do that for you at the White House, okay?” he said, asking for the mother of three’s voice.

One of Trump’s biggest campaign promises for 2024 is to lower everyday costs for Americans, including gas and grocery prices. All this at a time when inflation is rising and the economy is faltering. Most Americans say they are no better off now than when President Joe Biden first took office.

Voters consistently rank the economy and inflation as the top issues when casting their ballots for president in November.

When the woman in the store confirmed that the three boys at her side were her sons, Trump said twice, “Perfecto.”

The Sprankles neighborhood grocery store in Kittanning, Pennsylvania, received a surprise visit from Trump between his meeting with farmers in Smithton and his meeting in Indiana, Pennsylvania — all suburbs of Pittsburgh.

“I’m going to give a big speech at 7:00. I know you’re going to be there. I think you’re going to like it, I hope you like it. It’s very important,” Trump told reporters with him at the grocery store on Monday.

“So, we’re in Pennsylvania, we’re doing well, we’re doing a lot of stops. I think we’re way ahead. I think we’re way ahead. Kamala doesn’t want fracking, what do you think of that idea?” he continued.
