What are the sexiest jobs in Australia? Jana Hocking lists five most popular careers

A man’s job matters on a date, writes JANA HOCKING, and there are five careers women instantly get excited about…and I can tell you firsthand why

  • Jana Hocking has listed the jobs she finds the “greatest excitement” in a man
  • They include paramedics, CEOs and cameramen
  • She also likes bartenders and lawyers

Last week I made a rather bold statement saying it’s important to ask a potential love interest what they do for a job. Good lord, it caused some discussion, but I still stand by those words.

To summarize, it’s a really good insight into their personality. Are they creative? Are they more analytical? Do numbers turn them on or do they like a more flamboyant job? Do they have high ambitions or do they like to cruise through life?

It got me thinking about which jobs are the ultimate excitement for any woman with a heartbeat.

You see, I got my first job when I was 14 years old and have had a million and a job ever since. During that time I found myself getting ridiculously turned on by co-workers I would normally never look twice at. There is something about them in their natural habitat, deeply focused on the tools of their craft, that is enticing.

Sure, there are your stereotypical “sexy” jobs, including firefighters and police officers, but how cliche! Unless they show up at a bachelorette party in stripper form, I’m not interested!

So with that in mind I thought I’d compile a list of jobs that are uniquely sexy. You may think they are a bit arbitrary, but just listen to my reasoning and then try not to get excited. Don’t mention it.

Jana Hocking says there are five jobs she’s instantly attracted to while dating

1. Paramedics

Okay, this is kind of an embarrassing story, but about a year ago I ate a brownie that I didn’t know was full of marijuana. I started to “go green” and thought I was having a stroke. I was so shocked I called an ambulance and they sent a male paramedic on a motorcycle. He took a look at my face and bloodshot eyes before bursting out laughing and telling me I was just really high.

It was equal parts humiliating and hilarious. He ended up staying with me for the next hour to keep an eye on me and we sat cross-legged on the floor having a good chat. The way he acted so caring, checking my heartbeat and making me feel less of the idiot that I am was so hot. Someone saying “It’s okay, I got it from here” is the sexiest feeling in the world.

2. CEOS

I worked at a TV station and there was a CEO who was not physically attractive at all.

But he walked around that station like a god, and my female colleagues and I would seriously swoon. He may not have been classically handsome, but his aura was powerful. He barked at people and demanded authority.

Okay dad, whatever you say!

The Three “Red Flag” Jobs That Turn Me Off From Dating

accountant

First, because they’d be shocked at how I calculate my expenses and keep a budget (I don’t!) and second, because I enjoy talking to my partner about their day. I want to hear about the drama, the theatre, the interesting encounters they had. Numbers are just not my problem.

Pharmacist

Medical talk puts me to sleep, and I say that with love to have two relatives who work in the profession. All those strange long words and technical terms. I’m not going to keep up with you, and to be honest, I don’t want to.

Office Managers

While I’d kill to have their organizational skills, I’m afraid my chaotic life would drive them a little crazy. My home is eclectic, there is absolutely no order, I like to make plans as I go, and the only lists I make are for groceries. I’m afraid we won’t have much in common.

3. Camera people

I’ve worked on quite a few TV shows – The Bachelor, Getaway, So You Think You Can Dance – and there’s something so attractive about a guy who has a big camera on his shoulders.

They are usually so focused on getting the right images and capturing the right angle that they ignore you for most of the work day. Sure, directors are important, but the real weight of the show depends on the cinematographer getting it all on film. A man who ignores me is terribly toxic and terribly sexy.

4. Bartenders

My current boyfriend with benefits is a bartender and it all started when he made me a really dirty gin martini. This sexy job is probably on the shallower end of the spectrum, but let’s face it, bartenders have great banter, we get to see their muscles when they’re shaking up a cocktail, and under the haze of booze, everyone gets that little bit more vain. va voom .

5. Lawyers

Anyone who defends my honor (whether they get paid or not) gets me going. Plus, they wear tailored suits, act a little cocky, have brains the size of their paychecks, and demand attention in a packed courtroom. It almost makes you want to go on a crime spree. Almost.

Now there are many more job titles I could include, but if you have a job that involves any sort of authority, a nice suit, a soft touch, or a sense of control, you’re bound to get some bad co-workers very hot under the collar.

Stop it you cheeky devil.
