Egypt is on edge as Sudan is embroiled in conflict.
Sudan is in turmoil and there is no end to the fighting between the army and the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces.
Neighboring countries, already dealing with an influx of refugees, fear that the violence will also spread.
At an emergency meeting of the Arab League, Egypt’s representative called for an immediate ceasefire, highlighting his country’s close ties with Sudan.
But that relationship means that Egypt supports one side over the other.
