Jurgen Klopp made the shock announcement on Friday that he will step down from his role as Liverpool manager at the end of the season.

The German, whose team is still fighting on all fronts, said in an interview on the club’s website that he has ‘no more energy’.

“I will leave the club at the end of the season,” he said. ‘I can understand that it is a shock for many people at the moment when you hear it for the first time, but of course I can explain it – or at least try to explain it.’

Liverpool fans were left desperate to discover that the manager – who, among many other achievements – ended a 30-year wait for a top-flight title in a glittering nine-year stay, will soon leave the club.

Looking at your comments, it is clear that the 56-year-old has earned the respect of fans of most clubs, with many noting the void he will leave not only at Anfield, but in the Premier League as a whole.
