The video of Georgia Rose, who goes by the name @georgiarosecurves on TikTok, has been seen by more than 120,000 people, opinions among British and Americans are emerging
Full English breakfast
The first on the Georgian list is perhaps the most controversial: it is a British product.
She explains: 'First of all we have the full English breakfast, the beans, the sausages, the hot tomatoes, the black pudding – no, no thanks, passed, full permission.
“I ate it on my second day in England and didn't touch a bean the whole time.”
Pigs in blankets
Ahead, she mentions another popular food choice and a Christmas favorite. She tells viewers: 'Next is British pigs in a blanket. My roommate said he made these one night for dinner.
“He said pigs in a blanket, I thought oh great, American pigs in a blanket – and he made these monstrosities.
“And I don't know if it was just because I was so heartbroken that it wasn't American Pigs in a Blanket, or if I just hated this one – just not a fan, not a fan of this, too much and it does” It doesn't taste have a nice meal.'
American 'pigs in blankets' are hot dogs in croissant dough, similar to what the British would call a sausage roll.
She told viewers, “I don't know if it was just because I was so heartbroken that it wasn't American Pigs in a Blanket, or if I just hated this one – just not a fan, not a fan of this, too much and it doesn't taste good have a nice time
British KFC
Georgia went on to rage about Britain's KFC, claiming: 'KFC doesn't have any bloody mashed potatoes – there's no mashed potatoes and there's no macaroni and cheese at KFC.
'One time I was really hungover and my housemates and I were going to get KFC and when we get there there's no mashed potatoes or macaroni and cheese on the menu.
'I kind of cried because I was so hungover and I really wanted mashed potatoes. So yeah, they don't have mash there.
'You get fries at KFC and my housemate used to wonder why they had gravy – I thought because they should have bloody mashed potatoes too and she said oh that makes sense.
'Bring it together KFC in Britain.'
However, viewers were quick to point out that while KFC in the UK doesn't have macaroni cheese, it does offer mashed potatoes.
The TikToker replied, “They got them right after I left! So happy'.
Walking in the rain
After all, gloomy weather is something most Brits are used to, but the American found it difficult.
She said angrily, “Lastly, walking in the damn rain. Walking on these damn cobblestone streets and the slippery stones.
'Having to walk everywhere, wet feet, always being wet, walking wet everywhere.
'Horrible, it's terrible and I hated it and you know what's worse than just having to walk somewhere is that after hooking up with a guy from Tinder you have to walk home barely being able to f*** *** walking and it's raining and there are cobblestone streets and you're going home after a Netflix and chill session.
“I remember one time I got lost on the way home and my phone didn't work, so I walked a long way to get there.
“I was like, 'I'm never going to take for granted the fact that I can drive home after a shower – we don't know how good we have it in America.'
The video sparked reactions from Britons who defended themselves in the comments.
One user wrote: 'You don't like pigs in blankets, that's an aberration on your part.'
Another added: 'Why would you assume American pigs in a blanket when you're in England? It's also sausage wrapped in bacon – that's meat with meat! Delicious!'
Others chimed in: “Isn't it raining in the US? We have taxis, Uber and buses” and “Mmmmm, we have mashed potatoes.”
Another wrote: 'I find it amazing that people visit other countries and don't believe that people eat different foods as part of their culture that is different from that of the US.'
Although some fellow countrymen also flocked to the comments to join the debate.
One person from the US wrote: 'When I first went to Britain I hated the food!
'I was disappointed, I was living on fish and chips!'
Meanwhile, someone else agreed: 'I absolutely hated the food in England… I was there in 1997. I stopped at a supermarket and bought a ready-made sandwich/diet coke.'
