A young mother who was stabbed to death while shopping with her nine-month-old daughter posted a heartbreaking photo of the two just hours before the horror attack.
Ash Good, 38, was one of six innocent shoppers in Sydney’s Bondi Junction Westfield randomly killed on Saturday when a man, 40, wearing a Kangaroos rugby league jersey carried out a stabbing attack about 3.20pm before being shot . death by a female police officer.
A total of nine people, including Ms Good’s baby, suffered knife wounds.
The child is now fighting for life after being admitted to hospital for emergency surgery.
Just hours before the horror unfolded, Mrs Good posted a photo on Instagram with her baby in her arms.
“Just because I walked by and happened to wear the same thing for 9 months vs. 9 months inside, etc,” the caption read.
She also posted a short video of her daughter sitting in a car seat, with the Tempations song My Girl over it.
Harrowing details have emerged about what happened when Mrs Good and her baby attacked here.
Just before 5pm, a witness interrupted a Nine News reporter’s live broadcast from the scene and pointed to his brother and said: ‘He’s a hero – he saved the baby.’
The clearly shaken hero said he used clothes from a store to stop the baby’s bleeding.
“The baby was stabbed and, yes, the mother was stabbed,” he said.
‘The mother came to me with the baby and threw him at me.
“I just helped by holding the baby… and trying to compress the baby.”
The two brothers used clothes and shirts from a store to stop the baby’s bleeding and stayed with the mother while they waited for emergency services.
“(It was) really bad… a lot of blood on the floor… I hope the baby is okay,” the other brother said.
Victims of the attack were left lying in the mall as police worked to stop the attack
Police are in large numbers and the Australian Federal Police are now liaising with NSW Police in case the joint counter-terrorism team is needed
The injured mother had blood coming from her mouth, he said.
Another witness, a mall employee, recalled seeing a mother screaming on the floor above.
“I see a mother and maybe her partner with a baby in a pram,” she told Nine News.
‘She screams very, very loudly. She runs back and forth, not knowing what to do.
“Then she comes back to the stroller and picks up her baby, and there’s just blood on her back.
‘The scream was unforgettable, it was the scariest thing I have ever seen.
‘My colleague took me away, we locked all the doors, had to turn off all the lights and doors.’
Horror footage taken at the gruesome scene shows a baby being taken away in an ambulance.

Just 12 weeks after her little girl was born, Mrs Good posted a heartfelt message on social media about motherhood.
‘It’s almost too much to put into words. Love. The joy. The fears. The New World. The new me; one that I am still discovering as I enter motherhood and complete the so-called fourth trimester.”
“It’s like feeling your heart swell with love as you deal with fear for the first time.
‘You feel so proud and then so overwhelmed. The dichotomy of it all.
‘Pure joy and extraordinary exhaustion mixed with emotions you’ve never felt before.’
She went on to say that being a parent is “the greatest gift you could ever receive.”
“I sit here and feel so deeply grateful, and I’m still pinching myself, she’s ours.
‘I love her so much.’
