A man has suffered a cut to the face after a fight broke out in a shopping center with one of the fighters pulling out a knife.
The fight broke out between two men, one armed with a knife, at the Carousel Shopping Center in Perth’s south-east, causing shops to close around 3.30pm on Friday.
As a result of the altercation, a 20-year-old man suffered a laceration to his face.
The knifeman fled the scene, but left behind his gun, which police confiscated.
Police are on the scene and have assured the public there is no “ongoing threat or further cause for concern.”
Social media users reported shoppers were locked in stores and “told to remain quiet.”
One report said there may have been “blood on the ground” and “a lot of police.”
