The emerging striker has scored four goals in his last seven appearances for Aloisi’s side as they continue to climb the ladder with the final just around the corner.
A youth prodigy once compared to the Socceroos’ great Mark Viduka, the Sydney-bred striker was also named to the under-23 national team ahead of a training camp in northern Italy from March 20-28.
“I am very happy to stay at Western United, I feel I can continue to improve at this club,” Botic told Daily Mail Australia.
The opportunity to continue learning under former Socceroo John Aloisi has seen youngster Noah Botic sign a contract extension with A-League club Western United until 2025.
Aloisi told Daily Mail Australia that he was impressed by Botic’s work rate and attention to detail.
“I also feel lucky to have so many players and coaches who are willing to help me.”
Botic trained with numerous clubs as a youth, including Rockdale, Sydney Olympic and Western Sydney Wanderers.
He then left for Germany in 2019 and while the global pandemic couldn’t have come at a worse time in terms of Botic’s development, he enjoyed his time at Hoffenheim.
“It was great, football is very big there… I was playing with the under-19s and traveling a bit with [under age] national teams’, he said.
‘But then Covid happened and everything changed.
‘I decided to go home [in 2021] and there was interest from some A-League clubs, namely Melbourne Victory, but I felt that working with John would be the smartest move.
“He believes in me and gave me a chance, I can’t thank him enough.”
Botic was also named to the Australian under-23 squad on Tuesday ahead of a training camp in northern Italy from March 20-28.
Botic’s eye for goal and ability to find the back of the net have made him an A-League sensation.
Aloisi has been impressed by Botic’s work rate and attention to detail.
“He applies himself and always wants to take the next step,” he said.
“His promotion has not surprised me, we see him in training most days.
‘Noah is a very talented footballer who we are delighted to have signed for another two years at the club.
“He will be an important player for us in the years to come if he keeps scoring goals.”
