West Ham are considering plans to install a fan zone next to the London Stadium in case they reach the Europa Conference League final next month.
David Moyes’ side have a 2-1 lead in the first leg with AZ Alkmaar, but if they make it, thousands of supporters will be unable to make it to the June 7 final in Prague due to the small capacity at the Fortuna Arena. .
The grounds have a capacity of a fraction of over 20,000, with the allocations for each of the finalists around 5,000.
Compensating for such a limited attendance at the game, West Ham are taking the sensible step of considering options ahead of time on how to mark their first European final since 1976.
Sources have indicated there may be giant screens on the London 2012 warm-up track at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, in the shadow of the stadium.
