Burnley missed the chance to go top of the Championship on Friday night as they succumbed to a late West Brom equaliser in an enthralling game at The Hawthorns.
Vincent Kompany’s side, who have started the season in impressive form, looked the better side throughout and but for some careless finishing would surely have left the Midlands with all three points
Jay Rodriguez’s first half penalty after goalkeeper David Button brought down Nathan Tella appeared to have proved the difference but a late equaliser from debutant Brandon Thomas-Asante ensured Steve Bruce’s side salvaged a point.
