‘It’s a bit childish actually, but we went to Harry Potter World together and afterwards he bought me a Harry Potter statue. It’s really sick.

“He’s just one of the nicest guys. It was very tense all the time and it didn’t feel like a liberation. We’ve built up something of a friendship and I’m sure there’s still a lot of work to be done.’

It comes after Wes and Craig debuted their new song Abracadabra in the Love Island All Stars villa in February.

Wes, who previously found fame on the ITV dating show in 2018, admitted he found it ‘difficult’ breaking away from the stigma of his reality TV past.

He further told MailOnline that he has worked extra hard to ‘prove’ himself in the music industry and to fans.

He continued, “It’s not easy, but at the same time, it’s out of my control. I think if you put out good music and you get the response and you get the numbers, people will accept that as your career path.

‘I don’t think you can really shout it from the rooftops: ‘oh, I’m an artist now’. You have to prove it.

“We’ve done that now, and obviously with my tour, and people are really showing up and streaming music day after day. So in a way it was difficult.”

Wes is about to take the stage for his first European tour starting in May and added that he is “buzzing” for fans to see the show.

The Nice To Meet Ya singer said: ‘I’m doubly excited. I’ve never done headline shows in Europe. So it will be the first time that I can go to the European fans and really connect with them. So yeah, I’m buzzing.’

Wes previously revealed the big lie he told Craig to “put his foot down” and make their first deal together.

Speaking about Lorraine last month, he told the ITV presenter: ‘Since we first met in Ibiza when I was supporting one of Craig’s shows, I actually lied to Craig and said I had a song for had written to him. – just to get my foot in the door.

‘I didn’t want to wait too long. Craig’s busy, so I said, ‘I’ve got a song ready.’

Craig went on to talk about ‘when you become friends it’s a real win’, with Wes replying: ‘Oh wow, Craig just said he’s my friend’.

On Wednesday, Wes celebrated the new Lynx black vanilla fragrance, saying: ‘I’m very selective with what I choose and this has changed my whole perception of fragrances because I tried it and thought this is expensive, it must be expensive but it’s left and it’s super affordable.

‘So the thing is, I spend an absolute fortune on fragrance, way too much than I’d like to admit, and this now allows me to smell good every day and not break the bank.’

According to a recent study by the brand, ‘NEW Lynx Black Vanilla, one of the fragrances from the brand’s all-new Fine Fragrance Collection, has triumphed over Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille, with a whopping 74% of men choosing Lynx over the designer scent. priced at a hefty £294’.
