It will be located on Cavill Avenue in Surfer’s Paradise on the Gold Coast.
Wendy’s, the world’s third largest hamburger chain after McDonald’s and Burger King, has planned to have 200 stores open to Australian customers by 2034.
The chain, which has more than 7,000 locations worldwide, is best known for its square burgers, fries and ‘Frosty’ frozen dairy desserts.
It differentiates itself from McDonald’s and Hungry Jack’s by having a strict made-to-order policy and not keeping food warm using heat lamps.
Flynn’s Restaurant Group will operate the Wendy’s franchise in Australia.
It owns other popular American fast food chains such as Applebee’s, Taco Bell, Panera, Arby’s and Pizza Hut.
