Wendy’s is offering an obscenely large bucket of chicken nuggets – but only at these select locations

  • Some reported getting the current bucket deal of 50 gold nuggets for about $16

Ever since Wendy’s announced a limited-time meal of 50 chicken nuggets in early May, food influencers have been scouring their neighborhoods to get their hands on the coveted bucket.

YouTuber Morgan Chomps said she drove half an hour to pick up the new menu item, called the Nuggs Party Pack.

“You know what, it was worth it,” she said a video.

‘My mother and I enjoyed watching them put this bucket together. They took the entire basket of nuggets out of the fryer and dumped them in this bucket.”

Wendy’s didn’t offer a final price for the bucket, but did say the nuggets can be crunchy or spicy.

Morgan said her bucket came with 10 sauce containers, which customers can mix and match between Ghost Pepper Ranch, BBQ, Sweet & Sour, Honey Mustard or Buttermilk Ranch.

The outcry over the new menu item comes months after Wendy’s came under fire for considering introducing peak pricing on its menu to charge more during peak hours.

The overwhelming response to the plan caused the company to back off, with the CFO saying, “I don’t think we’re going to get too greedy.”

Because the Nuggs Party Pack is limited to participating locations in the US, Wendy’s has ordered an interactive map of which restaurants are serving the 50-nugget deal.

The designer of McBrokena site that tracks which McDonald’s restaurants have broken ice cream machines created the map for Wendy’s.

Another influencer, HellthyJunkFood, posted her experience order the bucket at Wendy’s drive-through.

It earned her $15.96, which by her calculations was about $0.30 per nugget. So in her case, the nugget bucket is a better deal than the 10-piece meal, which averages about $0.47 per nugget.

“Tastes better when it’s cheaper,” she said.

However, she didn’t get a bucket like Morgan did, but instead got a plastic take-out container with clinking gold nuggets inside.

Her video, which received 78,000 likes, had many people commenting in the comments, especially on the price.

More than a dozen viewers said this bucket of nuggets had been at their Wendy’s for months or even years — and the price used to be around $10.

“It used to be $9.99 lol my kids get this once a month…” one person wrote.
