Wendy Williams is pictured without her wig having a tearful reunion with Blac Chyna in new documentary – amid devastating dementia diagnosis

Wendy Williams’ longtime friendship with Blac Chyna has been shared in a new clip from her upcoming Lifetime documentary — amid the devastating news of her dementia diagnosis.

In an excerpt from Where Is Wendy Williams? obtained by PeopleWendy was particularly unguarded as she took off her wig to chat with Chyna, 35.

The 59-year-old talk show host appeared to be having a tearful heart-to-heart, but the conversation took a disturbing turn when Williams began speaking in apparent non-sequiturs, as if she wasn’t fully involved in the conversation.

The latest clip comes a day after Williams’ sister, niece and brother spoke out about her struggles with mental health and alcohol abuse, which are extensively documented in the film.

The family trio revealed that Williams lives in a treatment center to this day, where they do not have access to her unless she chooses to call them.

Wendy and Chyna appeared to be sitting on a couch in the Wendy Williams Show host’s apartment.

Chyna confessed that she had “recently changed my life” since the last two spoke, and she attributed the positive changes to her mentorship.

“You have always been honest with me and put me in my place in the most motherly, kind way,” Rob Kardashian’s former partner admitted. ‘Cause even when I was going through my darkest times, you never used that against me.

“And that’s how you know that the love is genuine, and it will always be there,” she continued, adding that she would always “be there” for Wendy.

“You can call my phone anytime. I mean it,” Chyna (real name: Angela Renée White) said.

She also looked forward to spending more time with Wendy in the near future.

“And I guess I have to travel back and forth from New York, so I’ll see you more often,” she said optimistically.

But Wendy’s disturbing reaction didn’t make it clear whether she heard or understood anything Chyna said.

“Well, my real name is Wendy Hunter,” the talk show host admitted, using her married name.

She was married to her second husband, Kevin Hunter, from 1999 to 2020, when they divorced after he fathered a child with another woman.

Chyna repeated Wendy’s last name as if to absorb the information.

‘YEP! And I’m divorced,” Wendy continued. ‘He has no money.’

Chyna followed up with affirmative statements after each of Wendy’s statements, although the smile she previously displayed had been wiped off her face.

Although Wendy’s response didn’t seem to have much to do with their conversation, she may have meant it as a form of confession to her friend.

Chyna wiped away any tension by saying, “I love you,” as she appeared to burst into tears.

“Me too,” Wendy whispered as a soft smile spread across her face, before Chyna leaned over on the couch to give her a hug.

Wendy continued to laugh. She was decked out in a beige Gucci coat with black fur trim and matching leggings, and she wore her natural hair after removing one of the glamorous wigs she is known for.

Relations between the two women haven’t always been as cordial as they appear in the documentary clip, which was said to have been filmed sometime between August 2022 and April 2023, when Wendy’s filming ended with her entering a treatment center.

Gossip about Chyna was once a common occurrence on Williams’ show of the same name, but the two seemed to thaw their relationships after Chyna appeared on the show in 2020.

“We talk about you a lot on Hot Topics,” Wendy said, which came as no surprise to the former OnlyFans model. “You’re very controversial.”

“Thanks,” Chyna sheepishly replied, earning hearty applause and laughter from the studio audience.

The stylist later claimed to police that Chyna had wielded a knife at her, which she denied, although the stylist was seen on video throwing the cans at the luxury vehicle.

Cameras began following Williams in August 2022, as she plotted a comeback with a new podcast.

She had previously taped what would be her final episode of The Wendy Williams Show, although the series would continue in late 2021 and into 2022 with a rotating slate of guest hosts replacing her.

While the documentary’s camera crew expected the host to bounce back, they instead found her with an alleged alcohol addiction and other health problems, including Graves’ disease, an autoimmune condition that can lead to hyperthyroidism and bulging eyes. and lymphedema. where a blocked lymphatic system causes fluid to swell in the body, especially in the legs and feet.

One from the documentary reportedly shows Williams possibly struggling with memory problems as she asks her driver to drive her past her old TV studio – despite driving her past it just minutes earlier.

The crew stopped filming in April 2023 after Williams entered a treatment center for alleged “cognitive issues.”
