An insider also revealed that there were “questions as to whether Wendy was healthy enough” to show up after some initial “pressing to get her to Atlanta and put her on that stage.”
Wendy’s ability to perform has been rocky at best. She can put together a sentence one day, but not the next,” the source continued. “There have been serious questions lately about whether she will ever get better.”
Following the news of her absence, all promotion of Williams as a speaker has been removed from the Atlanta Women’s Expo website.
Over the past year, Williams has been open about her recent weight loss and her battle with lymphedema, a swelling due to a buildup of lymph fluid in the body.

In March 2019, after a hiatus from the show, she emotionally announced on-air that she was staying in a “sober house.”
The following month in April 2019, she filed for divorce from her longtime husband Kevin after he had a baby girl with his mistress Sharina Hudson.

In an interview with DJ Suss One in 2021, she said she was “locked into rehab for something that didn’t require me to rehab.”
Wendy, who was addicted to cocaine when she was a radio shock jock but quit the drug before her days on TV, claimed Kevin Sr. on the edge.’
She claimed that rehab was really just “a quiet place to put me down,” while Sharina “got bigger and bigger and bigger” as her pregnancy came to an end.
Her final years on her daytime talk show were personally a turbulent time for Wendy, who not only endured her divorce, but also the death of her mother.
She last appeared on the talk show over a year ago before taking her summer hiatus – and then repeatedly postponing her return due to her health issues
