Hit documentary series ‘Welcome to Wrexham’ has been officially renewed for a fourth season.
The gripping series follows Hollywood stars Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney and their journey since securing majority control of Wrexham three years ago.
In January, the series won five Emmy Awards for its second season, with co-owner Reynolds taking home one of the awards while starring as Deadpool.
Previous seasons have been released in the autumn, once the football season has concluded and Wrexham’s fate has been confirmed.
However, season three was released this month as the Welsh side continued to fight for their promotion to League One, which they achieved.

And despite the most recent series still airing, it has now been confirmed that the show has been renewed for another season.
On Tuesday, Nick Grad, president of FX Entertainment, said: ‘Wrexham AFC have exceeded all expectations on the pitch and among the fans, scoring back-to-back promotions under the leadership of Rob and Ryan and being able to compete in League One next season. .
‘Welcome to Wrexham is also scoring big, winning five Emmy Awards and a fourth season that will continue to document the team’s remarkable journey and its impact on the Wrexham community and its growing legion of fans worldwide.’
‘Welcome to Wrexham’ was shown at the Emmys in January Disney+ in Great Britain, was crowned the winner in the following categories: Cinematography for a Reality Program, Unstructured Reality Program, Direction for a Reality Program, Picture Editing for an Unstructured Reality Program and Sound Mixing for a Reality Program.
Season one of the show – which covered the 2021-2022 National League season – aired in late August 2022, while season two episodes were released the following September after earning promotion to the Football League in the spring of 2023.
Meanwhile, the third season was only released this month and showed their rise in League Two, which will culminate in them achieving promotion.

Phil Parkinson’s side finished second behind Stockport County on their return to League Two and will play in the third tier next season.
The fourth season could get an even bigger boost after Leicester’s talismanic captain Jamie Vardy was urged to continue his ‘Hollywood career’ and join newly promoted Wrexham.
Vardy scored 18 goals in the Championship as Leicester secured a return to the Premier League at the first time of asking, finishing top of the pile in Enzo Maresca’s first season in the dugout.
As it stands, the striker’s contract expires in June, but talks are underway to extend his 12-year stay with the Foxes, a period in which he so memorably lifted the Premier League trophy in 2021 also sealed the FA Cup.
