I don’t have much to offer at the moment, but there is one achievement I am proud to share: I am the general manager of Nice Groceries, the newest supermarket where you can find everything you need for dinner, with specialties such as unsanded rice, milk blocks, fruit yogurt and a whole range of soft drinks. What led me to such rich loot? I discovered Supermarket Togethera free game on Steam that is a hit.
“Grocery store simulator” doesn’t seem like much of a sales pitch at first, but once I set up a store with my friends, we were all quietly captivated. We organized ourselves into roles in an orderly fashion: I proudly stocked the shelves, my buddy Matt ordered products, and we had a rotating team of friends at the checkout.
The design of the game reminds me a lot of Deadly business‘s, except that we don’t have to worry about sharp drops, murderous cryptids or cursed masks, but the worst thing we have to deal with is the horrible shoplifter. Fortunately, the game provides us with tools for a very effective department of loss prevention: brooms. If someone tries to do something funny, they are repeatedly caught off guard and beaten.
Lately, I’ve been craving a relaxing gaming experience to share with friends — something that’s easy to pick up, flexible for co-op, and doesn’t require too much brain power. While there are plenty of great games to enjoy with friends, like Constellation, Helldivers 2or Sea of ThievesSome of these are a little too complicated, especially if people are going home from work in a staggered manner, or if someone needs to take a break to deal with family or any of the millions of other interruptions.
That being said, it seems like you’re in the chaos Supermarket Together; the game supports up to 16 players, and the difficulty increases with the number of people in the lobby. There is also a separate difficulty meter, in case you want to play a level where groups of shopkeepers have to roam the supermarket grounds with brooms, looking for thieves to beat up.
