Weezer on Wednesday expressed support for the writers striking outside Paramount Pictures in Los Angeles.
The American rock band, formed in 1992, played some of their most popular hits to members of the Writers Guild of America protesting outside the major movie studio, according to TMZ.
Three of the four band members – consisting of singer Rivers Cuomo, guitarists Scott Shriner and Brian Bell – played an acoustic concert.
Drummer Patrick Wilson was not seen as his bandmates performed some of their most famous songs, including Beverly Hills and Buddy Holly.
Other stars expressing support for the ongoing strike include Pete Davidson, who handed out pizza to writers on strike in New York City earlier this month.

On the same day Weezer made his appearance in support of the WGA strike, Madeleine Stowe was also seen at the picket line.
The Stakeout actress, 64, showed herself casual as she joined the writers in their ongoing endeavours.
During the strike, she was animatedly talking to the other picketers as she joined them in support.
The Writers Guild of America first launched the strike in early May after the union announced they had failed to reach an agreement with the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers on a contract.
The next day the guild called for a strike for better working conditions for their members.
Nearly 12,000 screenwriters at the union took to the picket line for the first time since the 2008 strike, which lasted 100 days.
Since the start of the strike, many celebrities have been seen showing their support and protesting along with the writers and sending them food.
