A wedding guest has faced backlash over her choice of attire for her friend’s big day.

An image shared with the Reddit thread r/trashy – which has recently resurfaced online – shows a bachelorette party from the US posing for a smiley face photo – but one woman in particular stood out among the party of nine.

The image, captioned “If you just have to steal the spotlight,” shows a guest in a deep navy dress next to the bride, who shows off her ample cleavage.

Some commenters were shocked and accused the guest of trying to get all the attention, but other Redditors claimed those criticizing the woman were misogynistic.

The bride wore a long white dress with straps and flowers in her hair and the groom wore a black suit and blue satin tie.

But the person who got the most attention on the wire was the woman to the bride’s left.

She wore a sapphire blue lace dress with a low-cut V-neckline.

One user commented, “She deliberately places herself in front of the bride and suspends her breasts in the middle.”

A second wrote, “The more you watch, the worse it gets.”

Redditors took to the thread to comment on what they thought of the image — and some came to the woman’s defense

However, some users were quick to defend the dude, saying she can’t do anything about her natural body shape.

One user wrote, “She can’t help the fact that she has bigger boobs. The same dress on a woman with smaller breasts would not be considered her “trying to get attention”. People are so hypercritical of busty women it’s sad.”

Another echoed the same sentiments and defended the woman saying, “Yeah, she doesn’t really look like she’s really trying to steal the spotlight.”

It looks more like she had a few drinks (it’s a wedding, of course) and wasn’t paying attention to how her pose would look on camera. Also, alcohol warms you up, so the exposure to tits probably wouldn’t be as noticeable to her.’
