- She shared photos of the dress she wanted to wear to the wedding
- However, people on the internet were quick to shut her down
A wedding guest is being criticized for showing off the dress she wants to wear on her friend’s special day.
The unnamed woman took to Reddit to ask people on the internet if her dress was “too white” for a wedding.
She was met with an outpouring of anger as people criticized her for thinking about it and accused her of “standing out.”
In a thread titled ‘Approval of wedding attire‘, the guest shared images of her cream-colored dress covered in gold embellishments.
She questioned whether it was “appropriate” as social media users called the dress “too bridal.”

The post was captioned: ‘Is this dress suitable for an outdoor wedding guest dress? Is this too white?’
She then shared two photos of herself posing in the dress.
The high-neck dress featured a high slit and an array of gold sequins.
It also came complete with a small cutout in the chest.
In the comments section, she revealed that the invite did not specify what type of clothes she should wear.
She explained: ‘The invitation says nothing other than inviting us to a wedding reception at the venue (they are Christians, that’s all I know about their families). Open air, because it’s a kind of courtyard, I think. There is no theme as such.’
Although the guest had not yet put on the dress for the wedding, people on the Internet were already furious that she was debating it.
Social media users flocked to the comments, slamming the guest with fiery responses.

One person said: ‘I’m afraid you’re standing out, and not in a good way. You look great, but it doesn’t work for this kind of wedding.”
Another user added: ‘Too bridal.’
Someone else commented: ‘It’s too bridal and you’re not the bride. Don’t wear it.’
“No, too daring, too bridal, too formal,” one person wrote.
