Wedding bells? The telltale sign Abbie Chatfield is preparing to marry her boyfriend Adam Hyde

Abbie Chatfield has hinted she is preparing to tie the knot with her boyfriend Adam Hyde as she made a telling move.

The Bachelor star, 29, and the Beijing Duk musician went public with their romance in June last year and have now teased that things are already getting very serious.

Abbie revealed via her Instagram Stories on Thursday that the wedding bells are ringing for her and Adam, as she made a telling comment.

She told how she has already tried to reserve the Instagram name ‘Abbie Hyde’, which would be her married name if she and Adam tie the knot.

Despite not being engaged yet, Abbie confessed that she tried to get the username but was devastated when she learned it had already been taken by someone else.

‘If [me and Adam] “If I ever break up, I’m really going to lose it,” she said.

“It took three glasses of Chardonnay, an influencer event and one of my friends to say, ‘Did you save the Instagram handle for Abbie Hyde?’ before I tried to reserve Abbie Hyde as my Instagram handle.

‘I’m not doing anything for a while, I thought: I’m just not going to tell Adam, I’ll just reserve it for now! It’s not available, by the way, if you were wondering.

“So I don’t know what to do, now I’m plagued with the thought: what am I going to change my Instagram handle to when I marry him?”

Abbie and Adam have gone from strength to strength since they debuted their romance and she even made appearances in his on-stage performances.

She joined Adam on stage for his band Peking Duk’s New Year’s Eve at Adelaide’s Hindley St Music Hall as they rang in 2025 together.

In photos shared to Instagram, the couple packed on the PDA as they weren’t shy about sharing their affection with the thousands of fans in the crowd.

An onstage video showed the couple leading the crowd in the countdown to 2025 before sharing another New Year’s kiss.

Abbie also hit it off with Adam’s Peking Duk bandmate Reuben Styles on stage as they playfully ran towards each other and bumped chests in front of the crowd.

In an Instagram video, Abbie confessed that she has already tried to reserve the Instagram name “Abbie Hyde,” which would be her married name if she and Adam tie the knot.

Captioning the post, Abbie gushed: “I was so in love with him for two years that I had to mute him on social media and now he quits halfway through NYE to tell me he loves me????”

Abbie also shared the stage with Adam when he performed solo as Keli Holiday at the Rhythm and Vines Festival in Gisborne on December 30.

Abbie confirmed her romance with Adam in June 2024 after weeks of speculation, and they’ve been going strong ever since.

She regularly shares loved-up photos and tributes to him on social media, while he also appeared on her It’s A Lot podcast to discuss their romance.

Abbie recently told Stellar Magazine that her relationship with Adam is the best she’s ever had.

“It’s not like other people I’ve had affairs with. And this is going to sound a little weird, but he’s had a bigger career than me,” she said following concerns from fans that Adam is “using” her for fame.

‘I don’t think he’s using me for anything. He is successful in his own right.

“I think it’s cool that I’m with him, and not the other way around.”

Abbie was friends with Adam for two years before they started dating, which she credits with building trust between them.

“I think it’s different with Adam because I trust the strength of our relationship,” she said.

‘But us hanging out is also nothing new. We have been seeing each other publicly for years.”
