Website is Carvana for rescue cats in need of a home with even felines given car-inspired names
Used Furrari dealer! Adorable website bills itself as Carvana for rescue cats in need of a home — with even felines getting car-inspired names
- A woman who runs the social media for a cat shelter has created a Carvana-inspired series of offers, but for the adorable cats instead
- Kayla Delcoure created the ads after watching her husband search for a truck
- The ads are in fact for Pippi’s Place Pet Rescue in Georgia
A woman who volunteers for a Georgia animal shelter has created a mockup of a pet adoption website based on the used car website Carvana.
Kayla Delcoure made lists for cats looking for their furry home, all under the guise of Cat-vana, inspired by her husband’s search for a new truck.
The cat entries for Pippi’s Place Animal Rescue in Lawrenceville, Georgia, were all recreated and based on vehicle listings and included hilarious details such as year, make and model information, such as a Furrari, Apura or a Pursche.
The smart advertising saw offers like a 2022 Catillac Simon with impact sensors and green headlights or for more sporty types a 2014 Furrari Arlis with custom white decals and heated seats.
Also on the showroom floor is a 2015 Furcedes named Buddy and a 2022 Meowzda named Cassie.

Catvana’s mockups took their inspiration from Carvana and proved to be a hit with online users

For those looking for a cute companion, a 2023 Mini Pooper with two-tone exterior and all-paw drive is offered – or how about a two-speed (nap and ZOOM) automatic with self-cleaning capabilities?
Pippi’s Place Pet Rescue was founded in 2021. Delcoure suggested creating the classified ads to generate some publicity.
“My inspiration for CatVana is humorously boring,” Delcoure shared NPR.
“My husband has been wanting to buy a truck for months and occasionally brings me his phone to show me the ads. While I was brainstorming fun ways to display all nine of Pippi’s Place’s available cats in one post, my husband walked into my office to show me a truck list.
“Several funny descriptions kept popping up in my head, like the ‘four-paw drive’, ‘rear vent’ and the rest, so I went ahead and made the individual lists as well,” she explained.
The profiles show a keen eye for detail that both car and cat lovers will appreciate.
Delcoure said the favorite ad she made was for a cat known as Mr. Goodbar, a ‘2023 Mini Pooper’.
His listing was the last one I needed to make and I knew I wanted it to be something cute and proportionate to its size. I own and love a Mini Cooper and knew the ‘mini’ part would suit it perfectly so I went for it!’ she said.
The original Reddit Wednesday’s post also caught the attention of online users with nearly 65,000 upvotes.
