A wealthy Los Angeles father who pulled a gun on masked intruders when they tried to break into his luxury home while his five-month-old baby was inside has had his firearms license revoked.
In a video for the National Rifle Association (NRA), Vince Ricci revealed that his concealed carry permit was “revoked,” despite saying he was confronted by two men “pointing guns at my chest.”
“After successfully defending my home, my family and my five-month-old child, California has now decided to suspend my Second Amendment (rights),” Ricci said.
Ricci said Fox News digital that the sheriff’s office called him Thursday morning to tell him the news, saying it was due to him “yelling” at officers when they came to investigate.
The courageous father had previously accused the LAPD of “sloppy police work,” including their alleged negligence in picking up shell casings strewn near his home as evidence.

DailyMail.com has reached out to the LAPD for comment on the incident and it remains unclear why Ricci lost his concealed carry permit.
On November 4, just after Ricci arrived home to his locked Los Angeles home, two armed men jumped the fence and tried to enter the property.

In a quick attempt to defend themselves, his wife of five months and the babysitter in Ricci grabbed his gun and started a shootout with the intruders.
Obtaining a concealed carry permit in California is more difficult than in other states, with Ricci telling Fox News Digital that it took him months to process.
In California, residents over the age of 18 can legally carry firearms on private property and residences without a permit.
“My situation is unique because it happened at my front door, all on camera,” he said.
“But this is happening over and over again across the country… People are sweeping it under the rug because it doesn’t fit their political agenda. The fact is that evil will always exist.’

Ricci previously revealed that this was not the first time he had been targeted by criminals.
His house was burglarized in June and his car the month before.
A night prior to the shooting, Ricci revealed that a group of criminals driving a Dodge Charger without license plates had allegedly targeted other homes in his neighborhood.
The NRA told Fox News Digital that the organization is “proud to have Vince as a fellow NRA member” and called the revocation of his license “reprehensible.”
“His decisive actions to protect his wife and daughter embody the core principles that NRA members fight for every day,” NRA spokesman Billy McLaughlin said in a statement.
“For California to destroy his Second Amendment rights after defending his family is reprehensible.”
McLaughlin said Gov. Gavin Newsom and Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascon’s pro-crime policies have turned LA and the broader state into “a war zone.”
“The NRA stands with Vince and every responsible gun owner in California and is committed to defending their rights to protect their families and communities,” McLaughlin added.
The terrifying incident comes as crime has increased in the Democrat-run city due to the defunded police movement.
A lack of law enforcement resources has led to an exodus of residents to Republican states like Texas and Florida.

Ricci reacted immediately as he threw his hot tea at the suspect (pictured) and pulled his gun from his pants before he started shooting with the two intruders.

As he searches for his keys, we see two intruders jump the moving fence around the house and one of them runs after him.
Ricci quickly turns around and throws his hot tea at the suspect, just before pulling out his gun and opening fire.
As shots fire, the two masked robbers scatter while one fires back at the Ricci.
He then follows one suspect who jumps the side fence, while the other jumps the front fence and flees the scene.
After the attack, Ricci and his family filed a police report with the LAPD’s Olympic Division.
Ricci wasn’t sure if he hit one of the intruders, but told them Fox11 at the point where if anyone else were to harm him and his family again, “they will die for trying to get into this house.”
According to Los Angeles crime statistics, there were 718 robberies in the city between October 1 and 28.
A total of 7,111 robberies took place in 2023, more than the number of robberies reported in 2022.
Overall crime rates in the Golden State have soared recently as flash mobs and looters raid storefronts.
An increase in homelessness and drug addiction has also plagued the area and contributed to an increase in crime.

The money raised from the increased tax rates will go toward security improvements at public schools across the state, especially those in gang-related areas.
Federal gun tax money has been spent on wildlife conservation and hunter education programs over the past hundred years.
Homes in Mid-City Los Angeles have a median sales price of $1.2 million, according to Redfin.
It is unclear exactly where the homeowner’s home was located and exactly how much it is currently worth. DailyMail.com has contacted Ricci for comment.
