We spent £1,600 on a wedding videographer – he accidentally filmed himself making rude comments

A newlywed couple was horrified after their videographer mistakenly sent them images of him insulting wedding guests and calling them “f***ing m**gs.”

Lois Ghost-Adderley and husband Lee, both 28, from Shepherdswell, Kent, were shocked after the raw video of their big day was sent to them by filmmaker James David.

In a clip from the wedding video, the videographer can be heard calling his friends and family “f***ing m**gs” and saying “what the hell is going on with these people.”

His behavior only came to light after he sent the raw footage to the couple a year after their wedding in Faversham, Kent.

The couple married in August 2021 in the countryside and received their wedding video soon after.

But when it arrived, the couple weren’t entirely happy with the £1,600 package they’d ordered.

Bride Lois said, “We booked the company last minute, but we got the video back very quickly.

‘I had some problems [about the film] because a lot of the footage was of plus ones and very little of my family.

“That said, we were still very happy after our wedding celebration and I didn’t want to rock the boat, so we didn’t complain.”

Just over a year later, in October 2022, the couple, then expecting their first child, were contacted by Mr David to let them know he would be removing their video from a sharing website.

The pair jumped at the chance to request a very important clip that was missing from the original footage.

Lois added, “He messaged us to check if we wanted to download anything before he took down the footage, so we took the opportunity to ask if he had the footage of our first dance with the original audio.

‘He said he did, and he could, in fact, send us all the raw footage for an extra £100.

After receiving the images shortly before their daughter’s birth, the couple finally managed to view them last week

“We had already paid £1,600 for his services and felt this was a bit high, but it meant a lot to us to have this footage so we agreed.”

Lee added: “We noticed a lovely video, which is from our friends and family.

“You can hear James saying to his girlfriend/photographer in the background.

‘[He said} “What is wrong with these people? F****** m****”, in relation to our wedding guests.

‘It does leave a sour taste in the mouth when we look back at everything now.’

When approached for comment, Mr David – managing director of James David Films- said he would be reaching out to the couple to ‘resolve the situation.’

He added: ‘Unfortunately these things happen – little slips happen and I must take responsibility; there’s not much more I can do.

‘I will be moving forward with my team; my guys will be getting in contact to resolve the situation.

‘We can only apologise and take responsibility. We will be sending a letter of apology in the next couple of days and dealing with the matter privately.’

Lois said the couple are yet to receive an apology or any communication from Mr David so far.
