A Dragon Age game is nothing without a robust cast of engaging companions – and The veil keeper is no exception. The trailer at Summer Games Fest introduced us to the new characters, but now we’re finally getting to know the voices behind their pretty faces (which might help us decide who to kiss).
Ike Amadi (Javik in Mass Effect 3 and Aaron Davis in Spider-Man by Insomniac) plays Davrin, the charming Grey Warden with the adorable baby griffin. Jee Young Han (Perry Metselaar, Kipo and the Age of Wonder Beasts) plays Bellara, the romantic Veil Jumper who goes in search of hidden secrets. Neve, Tevinter’s private investigator (and secret rebel), is voiced by Real bloodIt’s Jessica Clark.
Star Trek: PicardJin Maley voices Taash, the adventurous dragon hunter (and also the first female qunari in the game (before you go to actually i, i am not to count Dragon Age sona by Felicia Day of the Mark of the murderer DLC). Nick Boraine from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare And Black sails voices the courtly necromancer Emmrich (with Critical Role’s Matt Mercer as his skeletal sidekick). And the cast is rounded out by Zach Mendez (Horizon Forbidden West) as the ruthless Antivan assassin Lucanis.
In addition, Alex Jordan (Cyberpunk2077), Bryony Corrigan (Baldurs Gate 3), Erika Ishii (Apex Legends, Dropout) and Jeff Berg (Battlefield 1) are located behind the voice options for the player character Rook.
As for returning characters, Brian Bloom is back as dwarven storyteller and reluctant merchant Varric, Gareth David-Lloyd returns as the tragic Solas, and Ali Hillis will once again voice Scout Harding (now promoted to full-fledged companion and potential love interest!). BioWare is keeping tight-lipped about which other characters will return (if Dorian doesn’t show up, I’m going to be furious).
Dragon Age: The Veil Guard is scheduled for release sometime in 2024.
