The teenager follows in his father’s footsteps and currently plays for Manchester United’s academy.
Wayne, who was Rashford’s teammates when the striker was starting in United’s first team, re-shared the image with the caption: “Thank you @marcusrashford.”
Kai is enrolled in the Red Devils’ academy, and he has a bright future and wowed with some solid performances last season.
He’s scored 53 goals as he potentially looks to emulate the success his father, who now manages the United States, achieved during his career.
It’s currently the offseason in MLS, and Wayne is preparing his DC United team for a new campaign in 2023.
They endured a difficult 2022 season, finishing last in the Eastern conference.
Rooney took charge of the team in July, having been relegated to League One with Derby County in England.
Rashford has been in fine form for the Red Devils this season and is looking back on his prime.
