Wayne Rooney’s DC United are nearing a loan deal to sign Nottingham Forest midfielder Lewis O’Brien with talks underway amid interest from other MLS teams
DC United are approaching to bring in Lewis O’Brien from Premier League outfit Nottingham Forest on a loan deal.
The 24-year-old midfielder saw a deadline-date transfer to English tier 2 side Blackburn Rovers fail to materialize in January.
But Wayne Rooney’s MLS franchise is the favorite to sign the central midfielder.
Other MLS teams have shown interest in O’Brien, but DC may include a bye clause where he can return to Forest in the summer to find another side.
Talks between the two clubs are ongoing as the terms of the move are worked out.
