Wayne Rooney has admitted he once took a swipe at Gary Neville when his former Manchester United team-mate was England assistant manager in 2016.

‘A very fun activity, which increased the competitiveness, but one day Neville got everyone to vote for me. A step up! I went to him. I had been bad at the ‘boxes’ (our version of the rondo), but worst overall? Not really.’
