Manchester United legend Wayne Rooney attended his old club’s 2-2 draw against Tottenham on Sunday, twelve days after his dismissal from Birmingham City.
The former England captain was sacked by Birmingham earlier this month after just 15 games in charge, winning just twice as the club dropped from sixth to 20th in the Championship.
Since Rooney replaced John Eustace in October, Birmingham have had the worst record in the Championship. They took 10 points from a possible 45, lost nine and won only two.
He was given something to smile about when United took an early lead through Rasmus Hojlund.
However, Richarlison hit back for the visitors before Rashford restored the lead just before half-time.

The second half got off to the worst possible start as Rodrigo Bentancur scored the equalizer and this turned out to be the last goal of the match.
Rooney would have been paid much less than the £1.5 million per year salary initially proposed, and left the club along with coach Carl Robinson.
When he was appointed to replace Eustace in October, Birmingham were sixth. He left with Blues just six points above the relegation zone and with the worst record in the division during that time.
This was Rooney’s third management job. After spells with Derby in the Championship and DC United in Major League Soccer, he was returned to England where he was charged with bringing a ‘no-fear’ football philosophy to Birmingham.
