Watford manager Rob Edwards has only been sacked after ten games into the new season.
The 39-year-old head coach was replaced instantly by Slaven Bilic just 15 minutes after his resignation was confirmed by the club.
Edwards was only appointed as Hornets boss in May after the departure of Roy Hodgson, who failed to avoid relegation from the Premier League last season.

Ex-West Ham and West Bromwich Albion boss Slaven Bilic takes over as his replacement
Watford are tenth in the championship and have won just three of their first ten league games.
They also crashed out of the EFL Cup against MK Dons last month.
Sporting director Cristiano Giaretta is said to be present at the club, because there were indications last week that he left.
Hornets chiefs expect the club to return straight to the Premier League this season and have a long history of firing managers at the first sight of trouble.
And the club’s Italian power base has once again shown their relentless streak with Edwards.
The manager left Forest Green Rovers in controversial fashion in May when his former club reacted angrily to lack of contact with Watford.
Disappointed by Edwards’ decision to speak to Watford without their knowledge, the League Two champions said in a statement: “We are disappointed that our support, loyalty and honesty towards Rob has been repaid in this way – with negotiations behind our backs to take place. .
“We haven’t had any contact with Watford, from whom we may expect less, but at least this kind of behavior gives football a bad name.
Watford quit Xisco Munoz in October 2021 and haven’t found a long-term solution since then
“We thank Rob for all his work at FGR – please forgive him for the manner of his departure and wish him well.”
As a result of Edwards’ departure, Forest Green received six months’ compensation from Watford, who has now fired the 39-year-old after being in charge for just under five months.
The Hornets sacked Xisco Munoz in October 2021 after the Spaniard failed to get a fruitful start to their Premier League campaign, just months after he won the club’s promotion to the top flight.
Both Claudio Ranieri and Roy Hodgson came in and out after Watford sacked Munoz last year
Claudio Ranieri came in to stabilize the ship but was sacked in January 2022 and tasked Roy Hodgson with keeping the Hornets afloat in the Premier League.
Ahead of Watford’s inevitable relegation, Hodgson agreed not to continue on Vicarage Road after the summer, ultimately paving the way for Edwards.
Watford are now looking for their 17th permanent head coach since July 2012, which OPTA says is just one less than West Ham have appointed in their entire history.
