Tennis stars were recently polled about who they would cast as Barbie and Ken on the ATP and WTA Tours.
Soon many chose Paula Badosa to play the role of Barbie, who was brought to life in the Margot Robbie blockbuster Australian actress Tsitsipas is in love with.
But when it came to choosing a Ken, it was Norwegian star Casepr Ruud, not Badosa’s real friend in Tsitsipas, who got the credit.
No harm is done by the fast-paced play though, as Tsitsipas and Badosa, popularly known as Tsitsidosa via their shared Instagram account, are as loved as ever.
Since leaving Wimbledon earlier this summer, the tennis power couple have holidayed in Madrid, Monte Carlo and the Greek island of Hydra. They attended a Harry Styles concert and also enjoyed the benefits of a stroll through New York’s Lower East Side ahead of the second round of Tsitsipas’ US Open this week.

It was in May in Rome, during the Italian Open, that the couple started talking, before Badosa took on Ons Jabeur. The rest, as they say, is history.
Both are deeply in love, but it was Tsitsipas who got attached to it the quickest, after it was revealed he was the first to say “i love you” and started their first kiss.
A recurring gag between the couple’s fans is who writes their joint Instagram captions. The more romantic the words, the more roads lead to Tsitsipas.

Alongside a nighttime photo of the couple about to share a kiss under fireworks, the caption reads, “Love your life with intensity.” Express your adoration for your loved one. Another shot, taken at a dive bar in Madrid, hit the mark with their critics and those envious of their blossoming relationship.
“We’re getting criticism, but all your bullets are ricocheting,” read the caption, a play on the lyrics to DJ David Guetta’s Titanium.
It was at Wimbledon where their relationship really made headlines, thanks in no small part to Badosa’s revelation that she had had a sex dream about her boyfriend.
And so when their SW19 commitments were over – their planned attempt to play together in mixed doubles was ended due to an injury to Badosa – they retired and headed to Madrid to attend the Harry Styles concert.
From there, they traveled to Tsitsipas’ homeland of Greece, specifically to the luxurious island of Hydra, where they joined other members of his family.
It was there that the couple held an Instagram Live Q&A to reveal the details about their relationship with their legion of fans.

“I didn’t even say hello to her!” Tsitsipas laughed and thought about how he ended up dating one of his fellow competitors. A nod from Badosa confirmed his version of events.
“All that until one day I started waving at her. She thought I was the most arrogant man on earth.’
Badosa interjected, “I thought to myself, What’s wrong with this man? He walked by and didn’t even look at me.’
But his behavior, he insisted, was completely understandable.
“Just think how nervous I was and I didn’t even say good morning to her,” he added. But now those days are in the past. I say hello to her and give her flowers.’
Rarely does an event go by where Tsitsipas doesn’t take the opportunity to tell how much he loves Badosa.
In an interview with ESTO recently at the Los Cabos Open tournament in Mexico, the Greek star was thrilled when asked about his girlfriend.
“I changed my life because Paula Badosa brought a bright light to it, and I did the same for her,” he said.
‘I’ll be very honest: I’ve never been so excited about the future, both in my private life and in my professional life. I really want to make the best of it.’
What about other players on the tour? What do they think about it?
“It’s a love story, it’s so beautiful and I’m super happy for Paula,” Aryna Sabalenka, fellow tennis player and a close friend of Badosa, told the Tennis Channel.
“I talked to her and she’s super happy and I’m happy for her.”

With an injury prematurely ending Badosa’s 2023 season, she has resigned herself to watching from the sidelines in New York, but Tsitsipas lasted two rounds before dropping out.
She frowned, roared in support, and pumped her fist as she watched from his player box. There was no bigger fan who supported the Greek than Badosa.
The Spaniard spoke to the Associated press about what it was like to support Tsitsipas from the sidelines recently.
“When I look at it from the outside, I might get a little more nervous, because I can’t control it,” she said.
“But I’m glad he got the win, and it was a crazy game. Glad we both made it through the first round.’
