A viral video has captured the moment a rapper interrupted his concert to punch and punch a man standing in the front row.

Shordie Shordie, 27, was performing at the El Rey Theater in California this weekend when things took an ugly turn.

Video shows the moment Shordie stopped his concert when he saw the man waving a red bandana and throwing up gang signs in an apparent mockery.

The Baltimore rapper stared at the fan before throwing the punch, knocking him to the ground.

Shordie and a member of his entourage hit him a few more times before security removes the fan.

Before returning to his set, the rapper said, “The way I look, n***a, I’m from the streets, n***a, don’t ever fuck me.”

The rapper spoke about the incident in an Instagram video the next day.

‘That wasn’t a fan, that wasn’t a woman, that was a disrespectful asshole who needed a punch in the face. And we, we did that. That’s how I go. You from the lips, don’t hit the lips,’ he said.

On X, formerly known as Twitter, some users responded to the video, saying Shordie’s behavior was unnecessary.

One user wrote: ‘You punched a fan just because of a gang sign?’ Some of these artists think they are God.”

“That’s too harsh of Shordie,” wrote another. “The fan should sue him for assault, he is not above the law.”

‘That was very inappropriate!! The dude was just having fun,” said another.

The next day, the rapper posted an Instagram video calling the man disrespectful and saying he wasn’t a fan of the rapper

This incident is the latest in a series of attacks on performers while on stage.

In August, rapper 50 Cent threw a broken microphone off the stage when it malfunctioned, ultimately hitting a concertgoer in the head.

A lawyer for the hitmaker said his client would “never intentionally hit anyone with a microphone.”

Cardi B was acquitted last summer after throwing a microphone at a fan during her Las Vegas concert.

In the incident, the rapper asked someone to splash water on her in temperatures of three degrees, but a concertgoer hoisted a cup of liquid and ice at her, causing her to throw the microphone into the audience.
