Anthropic has announced the launch of an enterprise-focused plan for Claude, its family of large language models, hoping to provide large enterprises with a useful boost in productivity and collaboration.
The new Enterprise plan offers a 500K context window, larger capacity, and integration with GitHub to support codebase work with Claude.
Claude for Enterprise also addresses many of the challenges and concerns that enterprises face around security, privacy, and compliance.
Anthropic launches Claude Enterprise plan
Appealing to large organizations, Claude Enterprise supports single sign-on (SSO) and domain registration for improved and centralized user management, along with role-based access and permissions fine-tuning. The company has also confirmed that it is working on audit logs and SCIM, which will be available “soon.”
Claude Enterprise also enables companies to process massive amounts of data with the power of generative AI. According to Anthropic, the 500K context window is equivalent to hundreds of sales transcripts.
Additionally, integration with Microsoft’s own GitHub will allow engineers and developers to sync repos with Claude. The functionality will be more widely available later this year, but early Enterprise subscription users will get early beta access.
Combined with projects and artifacts, Anthropic hopes Claude will become the ultimate “end-to-end solution to help (teams) take any initiative from idea to high-quality work.”
Pricing for Claude Enterprise has not been disclosed, likely because costs vary depending on usage and size of business.
With the launch of its new enterprise-focused plan, however, Anthropic is clearly hoping to take on established generative AI giant ChatGPT, which also has an Enterprise plan. ChatGPT now has a million paying users on its books. Earlier in April, the company was believed to have an estimated 600,000 Enterprise users.
