The man, seen in the TNT Sports broadcastswas among the thousands of traveling Bayern supporters for their match at Villa Park in the Champions League.

During the first half of the European match, the man was seen singing with another supporter while holding a parcel in his hand.

He then stops singing and pours the contents onto his knuckle before reaching out to smell it.

The camera then quickly cut back to the match, where the score was still 0-0, before anything more could be seen.

The match was at a stalemate in the first half, with Villa having a Pau Torres goal disallowed for narrowly offside.

Jacob Ramsey had strayed just outside the defensive line before playing a part in the build-up to the goal, sending Villa Park into chaos before it was destroyed.

This is Villa’s first appearance in the competition since it was renamed the Champions League, and their first since 1983.

Before the match, Villa paid a moving tribute to club legend Gary Shaw ahead of their Champions League clash with Bayern Munich.

The 1982 European Cup winner died in September at the age of 63 after injuring his head in a fall.

Shaw played 213 games for his youth team, scoring 79 goals. He is considered one of the best strikers in the club’s 150-year history.

And tonight, ahead of a replay of the final 42 years ago, Villa paid tribute to the iconic player by including his name on the team sheet in the match programme.

Shaw is at the bottom of the team list and has a symbol representing the Champions League trophy next to his name, where others have their numbers.
