- Benn pushed Eubank Jr. just one day before it was due to start fighting in Riyadh
- The British fighters were scheduled to fight in 2022 before the fight was called off
- Eubank Jr, 36, returns to the ring on Saturday night against Kamil Szeremeta
Conor Benn and Chris Eubank Jnr reignited their rivalry as they came to blows on Saturday night ahead of the Artur Beterbiev vs Dmitry Bivol Riyadh season ticket.
In 2022, the two British fighters would clash in a fight that would reignite the 1990s rivalry between their families.
However, the fight was canceled after Benn was charged by the British Anti-Doping Agency for failing two drug tests. He was subsequently acquitted before UKAD successfully appealed the decision.
Eubank Jnr is preparing to take on Kamil Szeremeta on Saturday night in his first fight in over a year, and Benn will be ringside to watch his rival.
When the two fighters crossed paths in the build-up to the event, things got heated when Benn pushed Eubank Jnr after a war of words.

Footage has revealed Benn approached the 35-year-old as he was cutting weight for his fight, declaring he is ‘lucky’ to be fighting tomorrow.
“You’re lucky you have to fight tomorrow, I’d kick your ass right now,” Benn told Eubank Jr.
“I’ll see you tomorrow, after the fight.” I’ll fucking give it to you. Yeah, sure, buddy. You’re lucky you’re fighting tomorrow.’
Benn then proceeded to push Eubank Jnr before security got involved to separate the pair before things got out of hand.
However, the 28-year-old fighter from London continued to take aim at Eubank Jnr, who remained calm.
“I’ll destroy you,” Benn continued. “Look what’s happening, dead boy walking. I’ll give you a good beating in front of 60,000, that’s what’s going to happen. I’ll be there tomorrow, you arrogant bastard.’
Benn, who is undefeated, has fought twice while his case continued, but speaking in September he believes the ban will soon end.
‘I’ve been [proving my innocence],” Benn told Sky Sports. “Forget the narrative that is being pushed. Eighteen months ago I was acquitted by the people who took the test.

‘I had obtained my entire Ukad [tests] during that same period. So I had passed on their authority. [Critics] say I didn’t do this, I didn’t do that, but the reality is I went through every avenue possible to do that.
“This is something I want to fight for and have fought for, and I’m glad it’s coming to an end. I didn’t bow down, I didn’t let the truth sway me, and that’s all that matters to me: my integrity.
‘I couldn’t accept the ban. If I haven’t done something, I won’t raise my hand about it. Never this! I stay true to what I believe in, and the easy option would be, “Yes, I’ll just take this.” [but I] keep fighting and spending hundreds of thousands, missing out on great opportunities.”
If Benn is indeed acquitted, the first name he wants on his hit list is Eubank Jnr. But first he has to get past Szeremeta on Saturday evening.
