Watch as Angel Reese is left open-mouthed after WNBA press conference is interrupted by someone discussing ‘intimate relationship’: ‘What is going on?’
In an awkward moment during a post-match press conference, Chicago Sky star Angel Reese couldn’t believe it when an unknown reporter was caught on a hot mic.
As a reporter asked how Reese broke Candace Parker’s double-double streak record, they overheard an awkward conversation in the background from someone else in the meeting.
We heard a woman’s voice asking the question: ‘[Are we] ever have an intimate relationship?
Then a man’s voice interrupts the conversation and says, “Ouch, that’s an awkward topic.”
A confused Reese says, “Excuse me,” before the staff asks the reporter to repeat his question.

Then the man’s voice becomes clearer and he says, “I’ve never been interested in intimacy with anyone.”
Reese held her mouth shut in shock, while coach Teresa Weatherspoon looked confused and teammate Marina Mabrey reacted with bewilderment, saying, “I told you they were acting weird with that.”
When the staff finally turned off all the microphones on the call, Reese was heard saying, “Oh, they’re just getting fired.”
Eventually the problem was resolved and the reporter was able to ask the question again.
Outside of the conference call, it was an eventful night for Reese, who now holds the WNBA record for most consecutive double-doubles by a player in league history with 13.
Parker played a series of games in the 2009 and 2010 seasons, but Reese, the seventh pick in the draft, did even better in her rookie year.
The former LSU star could not prevent the Sky from losing 84-71 to the Storm on Sunday night.
But Reese still delivered a historic performance, with 17 points and 14 rebounds.
