Washington Commanders sign ‘male model’ to backup No. 2 pick Jayden Daniels at quarterback

According to multiple reports, the Washington Commanders have signed “male model” quarterback Sam Hartman as an undrafted free agent.

Hartman, who finished his college career at Notre Dame, will receive a $20,000 signing bonus and a $225,000 base salary guarantee, according to the newspaper. NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero.

Hartman’s signing comes after the Commanders used the second overall pick in this week’s NFL Draft to select LSU quarterback Jayden Daniels.

And aside from his play on the field, Hartman is also known for his looks, with his signature long locks and beard catching the eye of Hall of Fame wide receiver Cris Carter at the NFL Combine in March.

Carter called the quarterback “male model” and the “most beautiful man” at the combine.

“He’s definitely the hottest guy in that damn company,” Carter said from Hartman.

‘I sent my wife a picture of him. She says, “I thought you were working?”

“A male model, look at that guy, man. Look at him. He has wavy hair and a beard.”

Hartman will be vying to back up Daniels after finishing his college career with 134 passing touchdowns and 49 interceptions.

He played five seasons at Wake Forest before transferring to Notre Dame for one season last year.

Other prominent undrafted free agents signed after the draft include Frank Gore Jr. and Terique Owens.

Gore Jr., the son of longtime NFL player Frank Gore, is signing with the Bills.

Owens, the son of Hall of Famer Terrell Owens, is signing with the 49ers.
