Not everyone associated with the Washington Commanders won on Sunday.
The team continued their winning streak in the NFL with a 27-22 victory over the New York Giants on Sunday, bringing their season record to 7-2 for the first time since 1996.
But for one fan who made the trip to see the team in action, it was a day to forget. Not that he’ll be able to do that anytime soon.
The Commanders fan has gone viral on social media for falling over several rows of seats just seconds after shouting at some Giants fans to “shut up.”
The fan seemed to be doing fine after his fall – not much more than his ego should have been bruised in the morning – but it could easily have been worse.

The fan fell within seconds of yelling at Giants fans to ‘shut up’
The Washington supporter, who may have been drinking during the game, appeared to lose his balance as he turned around from his outburst.
He fell forward, rolling over several rows of seats and crashing into fellow spectators along the way before being stopped by the metal rail at the end of the row.
He didn’t miss a beat – he appeared to hold his hands up as if to suggest his trip wasn’t a problem – before a security official came over to make sure everything was okay.
The fan was wearing an Art Monk jersey – Monk is widely considered one of the best wide receivers ever in NFL history.
Commanding quarterback Jayden Daniels was in control throughout, finishing 15 of 22 for 209 yards. He closed the game with a 42-yard pass to Olamide Zaccheaus after New York had gotten within five.
“I’m just happy for the fan base,” said Daniels, who added that his focus remains on one game and one week at a time. ‘They can be so proud of the product we put on the field.’
