Was Adele right to defend fan who was blocking the rows behind him? New video shows how TikTok user was standing up to film HIMSELF singing along

Adele sensationally stopped her concert in Las Vegas on Saturday after witnessing a security guard accost one of her fans, sparking widespread critical acclaim on social media.

But now, a new TikTok video from the fan shows the moments leading up to the incident, with him standing up and singing along to the star’s hits, blocking the view of the rows behind him.

The video, taken by TikTok user @juanp_lastra, shows him standing up and singing along animatedly as Adele, 35, exclaims I Drink Wine – while holding a selfie stick to record his own performance alongside Adele’s.

The fan is then approached by another guest sitting in the rows behind him and politely tells him he’s blocking the view – after which he sits down and continues singing.

Adele then instructs her fans to “get up” as she begins to hit Water Under The Bridge – with the fan screaming as he gets to his feet.

Stop! Adele sensationally stopped her concert in Las Vegas on Saturday after witnessing a security guard accost one of her fans, sparking widespread critical acclaim on social media.

Security then approaches the fan, with the fan saying, “I’ll calm down,” as security apparently orders him to stop getting up and singing so loudly.

Security says, “You can sing, but that’s obvious…” as Adele stops singing and addresses security and the fan.

On footage of the incident, Adele could be heard saying to the unidentified security guard, “What’s up with that young fan who’s been so worried since I filled in because he stood up?” What’s the matter with him? Yes, you, with your hand up, yes you!’

The 16-time Grammy winner continued to yell at the security guard to “leave the fan alone.”

“Why are you all bothering him? Can you leave (the fan) alone, please? They won’t bother you anymore, honey. You enjoy the show. Leave him alone,” Adele said.

This earned her loud cheers from the crowd, with security telling the fan, “You can get up, you don’t have to sit down,” and walk off.

The fan screams for Adele’s acknowledgment that night.

Kicking back at “haters,” the fan captioned the clip: “Adele, thank you so much for this breathtaking evening and for sticking up for me so I could experience your concert the way it should be. I’m also sorry I didn’t respond to everything you asked me. You started talking to me and I literally stopped breathing.

“I had been planning to come to this concert for over a year and I finally had the chance to come and see the most beautiful glorious woman this earth has been given. I still can’t figure out that I was in the same room as ADELE, singing every song with her and she even stopped the show to defend me.

“I didn’t expect everyone in my section to be mad at me for having the time of my life and wanting to get up and sing with her, but I honestly didn’t care at all what anyone said to me, I was simply impressed with the masterpiece I watched with my own eyes. I didn’t have time for those haters.’

After the incident, Adele resumed the show and the band started playing Water Under the Bridge again. The incident forced the Oscar-winning singer to start the song at the very top.

Several video clips of Adele’s actions quickly went viral on social media, with many of her fans taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, to share their reactions.
