The War zone 2 update has seen Ronin return in season 2. First appearing in the third season of the first War zoneit’s been a while since we’ve seen his friendly face.
Ronin had to make the jump from first to second War zone because of its ties to the map Verdansk. Some of his unlockable challenges are tied to this fictional city, meaning this map was swapped from the first one at some point War zone he became impossible to complete.
New map
The Resurgence game mode is back with the War zone 2 update for season 2. This time it is set on Ashika Island, off the coast of Japan. In this classic game mode, teammates can respawn as long as one ally is still alive. Because this new island is smaller than the previous map, it’s better equipped to provide a fast-paced alternative to Warzone’s traditional battle royale.
The new ‘Restore Honor’ feature added in Season 2 allows players to drop a dog tag after their first death in a game. Collecting this by you or a teammate will reward you with cash and a single UAV ping that can reveal supply boxes and enemies.
New event
The new event in the War zone 2 update see’s Ronin transfer from the first War zone.
The Path of Ronin event started at the launch of Season 2 and will end on March 24 according to the in-game timer. This event has seven challenges spread throughout War zone 2 And Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Remake which are based on the seven virtues of Bushido: compassion, courage, honor, integrity, loyalty, respect and sincerity. All but Loyalty and Respect are currently playable, the latter two becoming active on February 28.
