New Zealand Warriors prop Addin Fonua-Blake was a runaway winner for best fancy dress at the Dally M Medal after wearing a lavish Versace shirt on the red carpet.
Fonua-Blake’s impressive fashion choice didn’t come cheap, with the eccentrically detailed black and gold number retailing online for just under $2,500.
The 27-year-old, who was crowned Dally M Prop of the Year, also drew comparisons to Hollywood actor Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson for his smooth dress sense.
When it came to the ladies, Kaylah Collins, wife of Sydney Roosters enforcer Lindsay Collins, stole the show with a strapless black corset and black skirt.
She also wore a beautiful diamond necklace worth a reported $100,000.

Other football stars who didn’t get the black tuxedo memo in Sydney on Wednesday night included Panthers winger Sunia Turuva, Sharks halfback Nicho Hynes and Dragons NRLW coach Jamie Soward.
Turuva – who admitted earlier this week he does not own a tuxedo – has the chance to cap a remarkable debut season with a premiership ring on Sunday.
The NRL Rookie of the Year was given an early opportunity following a season-ending injury to colleague Taylan May, and the Fijian did not look out of place.
The 21-year-old has made 25 appearances this year and has helped Penrith come out of the backfield and gain the eighth-most meters of any player in 2023.
Turuva also scored twelve tries for Ivan Cleary’s team.
He beat Wests Tigers fullback Jahream Bula and Melbourne’s rugby sevens convert Will Warbrick for rookie honours.
Penrith teammates Stephen Crichton and Liam Martin were recognized for their stellar personal campaigns, claiming Center of the Year and Second Rower of the Year respectively.
Both positions had two winners, with Broncos star Herbie Farnworth and Titans X-factor and David Fifita also worthy victors.
