War of words erupts between pastor and his glamorous late wife’s family as he tells congregants Mica Miller committed suicide… but they mysteriously warn ‘there’s more to the story’
Bizarre video shows the moment a preacher announces his wife’s death in front of his stunned congregation after banning them from talking about it in church.
Mica Miller, 30, was discovered with a fatal gunshot wound on April 27 in Lumber River State Park, North Carolina.
Her pastor husband announced her death at their nearby church in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, the day after she was found.
Police in Robeson County are now investigating, but so far no one has been charged.
A lack of information about Miller’s death has left friends and family wondering what exactly went wrong.

Her death was announced as a suicide by her pastor husband John-Paul Miller at the end of a service at their church in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
Miller told his congregation at Solid Rock at Market Common church that his wife’s death was “self-inflicted.”
“You all know she was mentally unwell and she needed her medication and it was difficult to get to her,” he said.
Before making the announcement, he asked his flock to stand and instructed them to “leave the church quietly and not talk about the announcement here in the building.”
‘I’m taking a little break, it could be a few days or weeks. I got a call last night, my wife died, yes, it was self-inflicted […] I just go on adrenaline,” Miller’s husband said.
An obituary he wrote also described his wife as “a wonderful stepmother, a wonderful wife and helpful companion” and portrayed her as his biggest cheerleader.
Kenn Young, Mica’s boyfriend, is among those looking for answers about what happened.
‘This needs to be investigated in depth at the very least. There has to be some accountability here,” he said WPDE. “Because yes, a tragic life was lost, and it’s not as simple as mental health issues.”
Miller’s sisters have also hinted at questions surrounding her death, posting messages with the caption “#JusticeforMica.”

But the lack of information about Miller’s death has raised questions among some, including her family

“There’s been a lot of talk already, so I want to set the record straight. Our sister Mica Miller passed away yesterday,” Miller’s sister Sierra Francis wrote.
“Please don’t listen to false stories being shared about her. Mica was a godly, joyful, loving woman.
“We know so many of you are feeling this heartbreaking loss with us. The battle is not over yet.’
According to her obituary, Miller was originally from Wichita, Kansas, one of five children.
Court records show she served her husband with divorce papers just weeks before her death.
The pastor’s obituary describes her as “energetic, affirming, adventurous, faithful, loving, giving, forgiving, talented, joyful, creative, assertive, bold, determined, authoritative, passionate, hardworking, a risk taker and much more.”
In an interview with ABC15Miller’s husband repeated that his wife had committed suicide.
“She had struggled with suicide before,” he said. “Every time we helped her through it and took her to the doctor, and we got through it and everything was fine.
“She even gave some testimonies here at church that we have on video. She fought suicide, but God took care of her and helped her through it.”

He added that she was “probably the best woman anyone could ask for” and described nights spent talking for hours.
A celebration of Miller’s life will take place on Sunday.
