A Walmart shopper has revealed the ultimate hack as he prepared for moving day after ordering boxes online and receiving far more than he paid for.
In a now-viral video, the shopper revealed he had purchased 24 boxes online before telling viewers he was “going to do a little unboxing video” now that the shipment had arrived.
When he opened the first box, he revealed a mass of inflated protective packaging and said, “All this stuff to protect our item here,” before pulling out a flat box.
Because each box was shipped separately, his order doubled the number of boxes he had and he received package protection at no additional cost.
The customer started by saying they were going to “do a little unboxing video” after a huge shipment of 24 boxes showed up on their doorstep.

In the video he makes it clear that the item was at the bottom of the large cardboard box. After setting aside the package protection and taking out the item, he said, “We have… one box.”
He continued to hold up the object, “One box! And each of these has the same thing in it.’
The video ended with a thumbs up and a big smile as he said, “Good job Walmart.”

“I see two boxes for the price of one plus packaging fluff,” said another comment.
Others also saw the comical circumstances of the situation, with one writing: ‘thank god for that packaging. I wouldn’t want them to get damaged in the boxes.”
Many viewers shared their own experiences with the delivery of multiple boxes when ordering online. User Jane said: ‘I once ordered 50 zippers and they came one by one over the course of two weeks.’
The hack saved the customer money he might have spent on buying more boxes and package protection.
The hack saved the customer money from buying more boxes and package protection, and some users even suggested returning the boxes he paid for and keeping the delivery boxes.
He took the item out and said, “We have… one box. One box! And each of these has the same thing in it.’
Some users even suggested that he return the boxes he paid for and keep the boxes they were delivered in.
Walmart, said News19offers customers two delivery options.
They can choose from “recyclable paper mailers and appropriately sized cardboard boxes.” These efforts should eliminate “all unused space in the box.”
This approach will reportedly reduce the need for filler by 60 percent and reduce waste caused by oversized boxes by 26 percent, the outlet reported.
Customers can also choose to have shipments delivered together in fewer boxes, which is expected to further reduce waste and the number of shipments.
“This transition is expected to eliminate 65 million plastic bag mailers, or more than 2,000 tons of plastic, from U.S. circulation by the end of the fiscal year,” News19 said.
