Walmart horror as female worker, 19, is found dead inside a superstore
A woman has been found dead inside a Walmart in a tragedy reportedly involving a “large baking oven.”
Local police rushed to the superstore in Halifax, Nova Scotia, after reports of a “sudden death.”
When police arrived on the scene on Saturday evening, a 19-year-old worker was found dead.
Halifax Regional Police have not released any further details about her death. The department has emphasized that the investigation is ongoing and that a medical examiner will determine the official cause of death.
Global news reported that multiple stories about the incident claimed that a large baking oven was involved, which was on at the time.

However, at the time of writing, this has not been confirmed or denied by Walmart or the police.
Martin Cromwell, a police officer in Halifax, described the investigation as “complex.”
He said: ‘We understand that the public is involved and we just wanted to encourage the public to be patient with our investigation and be aware that there are family members and colleagues involved.’
Police are yet to release more details about the victim, but it is understood she was a member of the local Sikh community in Halifax.
According to CTV News, she had apparently lived in the Nova Scotia area for the past two or three years.
In a statement to Global News, Walmart Canada said they were “heartbroken and our deepest thoughts are with our associate and their family. We extend our sincere condolences to those closest to them.”
The statement continued: ‘We are also supporting our employees during this incredibly difficult time and have provided access to 24/7 virtual care and will provide on-site support, including grief counseling.’
In a statement, Halifax Regional Police said: “On October 19 at approximately 9:30 p.m., police were called to a sudden death at Walmart at 6990 Mumford Road. A 19-year-old woman who worked at the store was found deceased.
“Investigators are working closely with the Occupational Health and Safety Service and the Nova Scotia Medical Examiner Service to determine the cause and manner of death.
“The investigation is in its early stages and no further details are known at this time.”
Yesterday the store remained closed with yellow police tape cordoning off the area.
