At the back of the city you will encounter Morris, the shopkeeper of the store. He will ask you to search Rodge, his grandson, who is missing. Lutz explains that he was dragged away by wolves, so it’s up to you to save the day.

Talk to Lutz after Morris asks you for help and he will explain that someone in town witnessed Rodge’s kidnapping. You can find out a little more about where to go by talking to him or her.

First, go to the town square over the bridge from where you entered the town. Three villagers are standing by the well. Timothy will tell you that he saw Rodge carrying a bundle of grass before he was caught by the wolves, Jacint will reveal that Rodge often tends to a “beautiful flowerbed on the edge of town,” and Alsa explains the flowers in the area glow at night.

Essentially, you need to find Rodge’s glowing flowerbed. There are a lot of blue flower beds, and they essentially form a path for you to follow. To cut to the chase, we’ve marked on the map above the exact spot you need to go to find Rodge.

You’re looking for the Rotten cavewhich is located at the end of a narrow path in a clustered forest.

There’s a chance you picked most of the blue flowers on the way into town if you’re anything like me, but that’s not the end of the world. Even when picked, some blue flower beds leave a blue residue in the grass. You can still follow them; they will just be harder to spot.

You will want to cross the bridge out of town and then take the path to the right at the first fork in the road. This will lead you down a hill, over a smaller wooden bridge, and into a short cave with some barrels and crates.

At the end of the cave you will find a bunch of blue flowers near some ruins and a campfire. Follow the path around and there will be a very small wooden bridge that crosses the stream. Follow the wider path down the mountain until you come across more blue flowers, past a castle tower.

Before you follow the road that bends and reach another campfire, go straight ahead at the end of the river. You will find an opening between some rocks that will lead you to Putrid Cave.

Deal with the wolves quickly, talk to Rodge and then start the long walk back as you guide him to his grandfather. However, keep checking to see if Rodge is still with you, as the little rascal can often get stuck on rocks, trees and other obstacles.

Take it back to Morris and you’ll receive two Wonder Roborant healing items and 11,000 gold for your problems. Not too shabby a reward, but you’d think Morris could be a little more generous considering you just saved his grandson from certain death… whoa hum.
