Waleed Aly has been roasted online for wrongly predicting that Democrat candidate Kamala Harris would win Tuesday’s US presidential election.
The Project co-host, 46, traveled to the US capital Washington DC to cover the elections for Channel Ten.
Just hours before Donald Trump won, he told Kate Langbroek that he had tipped Harris to win.
“Kamala Harris. There is a name. My theory is that Trump has fewer ways to win. Kamala has a little more room for error with the people she is targeting and to whom that could happen,” Waleed said earlier this week.
Angry viewers have now taken to social media to mock the political pundit.
“Waleed is a cheerleader not a commentator,” one person snapped, and a second person added, “He clearly has no idea.”
“Do you have any other good predictions, Waleed?” another person asked cheekily.
“How WRONG was Waleed…HAHAHAHAHAHA,” a fourth user wrote.

“Wally has always been and always will be a muppet,” declared another critic.
Following his incorrect prediction, Waleed blamed Harris’ loss on not giving voters a direct message.
The TV star explained his theory on Wednesday evening during a conversation with American political commentator Steve Clemons.
The pair spoke an hour after Trump took the stage in Florida to address the nation about his victory.
“This is as bad a loss as they probably could have imagined,” Waleed said.
“If you lose like this, everything was wrong,” Mr. Clemons replied.

‘Joe Biden got out too late. She tended not to handle it very well when asked about her economic plan: the basics of policy.”
Waleed added his own theory that Vice President Harris is losing due to a lack of clarification.
He admitted he was surprised by the speed of the outcome, as it was predicted it would take longer for results from some of the ‘key’ battlegrounds to be known.
Trump ultimately won with 295 Electoral College votes, to Harris’ 226.
It takes 270 votes to win the presidency.
