Wake Forest University professor who resigned after saying she would be ‘tempted to shoot’ dance parties like Hamas after vile terror attacks in Israel now moans that the school threw her to the wolves

A Wake Forest University professor who resigned after saying she would be “tempted to crash dance parties” like the one Hamas staged in Israel has now complained that her employer threw her to the wolves .

Laura Mullen resigned from her position as Kenan Chair of the Humanities in the English and Creative Writing department last month after a furious backlash.

She resigned “for personal reasons” just weeks after publishing the horrific tweets glorifying the terror attack that killed more than 1,200 people.

‘Duh, it’s quite a Duh, but if you throw me out of the house, plow under my olive groves and lock up what’s left of my family in the little impoverished state you run like an open-air prison, I might be tempted to to shoot up your dance party Yes, even if you know you’ll scorch the earth,” she posted on X.

Speaking to a campus newspaper after quitting in the wake of the outrage, Mullen moaned that she felt abandoned by the university, the latest professor to face consequences for radical anti-Israel sentiments.

“(Wake Forest’s statement) is like watching animal movies and you isolate one gazelle, and it gets eaten. They kind of threw me to the wolves,” Mullen said the Wake Report.

She claims the post was intended to be ‘raw, direct (and) poetic, in the sense that it included visuals.’

Mullen eventually removed it after her employers said it “might make the situation more difficult for the Muslim population.”

The university said it “does not condone or support the views expressed in these posts,” but said they support “as a matter of principle” the right to individual freedom of expression.

Mullen claimed there was no personal response to her from students and the mother of a Muslim student offered her “all the support you need.”

“I don’t have students coming up to me and saying, hey, you’ve increased my fear and anxiety.” she added.

University campuses have seen several flashpoints of anti-Semitism and pro-Palestinian sentiment in the aftermath of the attack, especially from students, although professors have also run into trouble.

A Cornell University professor who called Hamas terror attacks “exciting and energizing” has taken a leave of absence and will not return to class for the rest of the year.

Wake has seen several recent controversies over the use of social media by professors and students

The university’s medical school has put one of its students “on leave” after she tweeted about purposefully missing a man’s vein while drawing his blood — an act apparently intended to punish the patient, who mocked her for wearing a pronoun badge that read “She/Her.”

In a statement, Wake Forest University simply alleged that its resident physician, Kychelle Del Rosario, made an “inaccurate statement” on social media.

“Wake Forest School of Medicine has completed a thorough review of the patient encounter involving our medical student who recently made an inaccurate statement on social media,” the school wrote a statement to “Tucker Carlson Tonight” producer Gregg Re on Friday.

The trainee doctor sparked outrage last month after suggesting she deliberately injured a man who mocked her by missing his vein during a blood test.

She now claims she did this by mistake, and says a more qualified medical professional performed the second blood draw attempt in accordance with established procedures.

Wake Forest said an investigation found that Del Rosario’s claims on Twitter did not reflect the incident, adding that she had followed guidelines correctly.

They made no further comment on how they determined the facts of the case.

Meanwhile, a statement from the student hinted that she would return to work after “reflecting” on her “use of social media as a professional.”

The school was condemned for its slowness to respond to the scandal and has not yet commented on the liability issues it could face if it lets Del Rosario go.

In 2022, a popular English professor was put on leave after posting nude photos of himself masturbating online.

Dr. Omaar Hena had been posting the images for seven years, faculty members told the student newspaper Old gold and black.

In early February, rumors about the images began circulating on the campus social media app Fizz. Old Gold & Black suggested that Hena may have realized his students were aware of the nudes but left them online anyway. They appear to have now been removed.

Just a few weeks later, Hena, who taught at the university for 15 years, was put on leave. Neither the university nor Hena has commented on the decision.

After the rumors spread around campus, many students began following Hena on Instagram, where some of the explicit images were posted. Hena even struck up conversations with some students, it is claimed.

According to the Old gold and black report, a second-year student received a message from Hena on February 10 at 6:40 p.m., with the professor saying, “Thank you so much for following!” with a purple heart emoji.

The student replied, “of course!”

Hena replied, “I love your strange energy. And I’ve always been a fan of woke radio people’ with purple heart, glitter and rainbow emojis.

The pair continued to talk and Hena told the student he would be willing to “meet for drinks” with her and “all the people” at Wake Radio.
