Tom Burgess’ wife Tahlia Giumelli reveals bizarre reason why she hasn’t told her young kids the Easter Bunny exists: ‘I didn’t want to create more work for myself’

Tahlia Giumelli and husband Tom Burgess have decided not to tell their two little girls about the Easter Bunny this year.

The AFL WAG, 30, revealed their decision during an Instagram Q&A on Thursday when a follower asked if Sophie, four, and Elodie, two, were excited for the holiday.

She said that while the children have taken part in Easter celebrations at school and with the Rabbitohs, they don’t know that the festive rabbit is coming home.

“Okay, parents don’t judge me, but we haven’t told the girls that the Easter bunny is coming home,” the model said.

“They’ve been in all the school events and really loved their Easter hat parades, and the Rabbitohs have put on something for families this weekend and will see Reggie the Rabbit, but we haven’t talked about the Easter Bunny yet. visiting with chocolate.’

Tahlia went on to say that Sophie and Elodie were “so excited and pleased with what they’ve been doing through school and Tom’s work that we felt it was enough.”

“They’re too young and don’t really understand the idea, and I didn’t want to create even more work for myself when I know we’re looking for more Easter eggs through other avenues.”

It comes after the mother-of-two confessed that she doesn’t buy gifts for her children, instead depositing money into a bank account for when they get older.

The AFL WAG said that although the children have taken part in Easter celebrations at school and with the Rabbitohs, they are too young to know that the Easter Bunny is coming to the house

“When the girls were born, I opened bank accounts for them,” she told her Instagram followers last month.

“We put money in instead of buying lots of birthday/Christmas presents and if family or friends want to give something to the kids, we ask them to put money into their account.

‘Our girls are spoiled with toys, so that’s all they need. Decided to invest this instead of it being in a bank account.

“Until they’re 25, we’re not going to start this. In the hope that it will help them to pay for a house, car, trip or education.’
