A man is on the run after a horror two-vehicle crash killed another man driving a shared car.

The 30-year-old man died at 2.15am on Tuesday after a Ford Mondeo sedan and a Toyota Camry collided at the intersection of Boundary Road and Progress Road in Wacol, 22km south-west of Brisbane’s CBD.

Paramedics quickly arrived on the scene, but the man could not be saved.

The two cars collided at the intersection of Boundary Road and Progress Road in Wacol, 22km south-west of Brisbane’s CBD.

The driver of the ride-sharing vehicle, a 42-year-old man, suffered back injuries and was taken to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in a stable condition.

A 26-year-old woman – another passenger in the Camry at the time of the crash – was also taken to hospital to be treated for chest and abdominal pain.

The driver of the Ford Mondeo is said to have fled, after which the police launched a manhunt to locate the man.

Queensland Police have urged the man to come forward as detectives from the Forensic Crash Unit investigate the incident.
