An experienced doctor has been charged with more than a dozen child sex crimes.
Child abuse detectives have charged the 60-year-old man, who worked as a general practitioner in southwestern Western Australia, on 19 offenses against children.
He is said to have committed the offenses against two girls between the ages of 13 and 16 between November 2019 and March 2022.

“The crimes were allegedly committed in the South West and Mandurah precincts,” the police said in a statement.
“It will also be alleged that the crimes were committed against two female victims.”
He has been charged on 10 counts of sexually penetrating a child and six counts of indecent dealing with a child.
The veteran doctor was working in WA’s Southwestern District when he was charged with more than a dozen child sex offenses
The man also faces one count of unauthorized sexual penetration, procuring a child into sexual conduct, and possession of child exploitation material.
He is due to appear before the Perth Magistrates Court later on Tuesday.
